Want to volunteer in your local community? Volunteering with us is flexible and fun, our projects are long term and one off events so there is something for everyone.

Details of all of our projects are on the website, but we are currently looking for the following specific roles for someone interested in our values and goals.

COMMUNITY CAFE SERVERS AND CAKE MAKERS

Our cafe leader is looking for someone to help cover his role and also help build the cafe even more, as restrictions lessen.

How much time would you have to give?

3 hours on a Tuesday (Monday night organisational takes aprox 15mins) when the main lead is away.

What is the role?

To help on the set up of the community centre in preperation for the cafe, putting out table and chairs, setting up the coffee machine (there will be others to help you).

To serve customers tea/coffee or juice in line with covid-19 regulations (training will be given).

To manage the other volunteers on the day.

To help the clear down on the cafe with your fellow volunteers.

The cafe is donation only and we aim to engage with the community when they visit, it's purpose is to have a space for young and old to mix, to build community llinks and make new friends. There are sometimes mini events, like bring a craft, and at the moment we also have the community pantry for foodsharing.

All of our activities and events are completely dependant on our volunteers and kind donations. We welcome donations of any size or shape to help us continue to support our local community of  Gilwern, Maesygwartha, Llanelly Hill and Clydach.
